How To Clean Your Solar Powered Bird Bath
A clean solar powered bird bath is attractive to birds. This will keep down the mosquitoes population as well as discourage growth of mold and algae.
Cleaning your bird bath is easy; firsts empty out all the water and then spray out with your hose. Scour the whole surface of the bath with a stiff brush to eliminate algae and grime. Some bird bath owners often prepare a homemade solution containing 3/4 cup of bleach and 1 gallon of water, but I think that plain water will do the job just as well. After soaking the bird bath for 20 minutes, stubborn stains should easily scrub out. You can also use specialty bird bath cleaner as an alternative to cleaning your bath with bleach.
Once the bath is done soaking, a stiff brush can remove any remaining marks or discoloration. After cleaning your bird bath with bleach or bird bath cleaner, rinse it completely.
Just add fresh water and see how the birds will frolic in your clean bird bath. Keeping the bird bath clean is a quite a job, to make the task easier it should be cleaned out a couple of times in a week.
