While I knew that the state offers the breathtaking Grand Canyon, I had no idea what other wonders could be explored until I read through the Arizona travel guide. As the document noted, the state is an “amusement park” built of natural wonders and fun activities that are suitable for people of all ages.
I love the idea of seeing a state that takes me to another time and place. The Arizona travel guide offered information about towns that seem to take you back to the days of the Old West. This romantic notion is accompanied by the most up-to-date luxuries that you could only imagine.

The pier was constructed in 1909 and has a famous carousel that is classified as an historical landmark. The pier is the site for Pacific Park, an admission free amusement park that has a nine-story ferris wheel and a roller coaster. The Taste of Santa Monica is an annual event on the pier, celebrating the food and drink from the area. Palisades Park is a great destination for visitors who want to walk the paths overlooking the Pacific. A Santa Monica vacation attracts a lot of hikers and bikers. Palms and scented eucalyptus line the way and there is a camera obscura.

Spring break students and families alike all flock to the North Carolina beaches every year. I’m telling you, there must be something in the air down there. Or maybe they just adore the clean warm sand and phenomenal blue waves. One outstanding aspect of the North Carolina beaches is the way the ocean gradually descends as you proceed outward. Nothing like what I experienced on the west coast. I must admit that I was shocked after stepping out into the Pacific Ocean and plummeting below the water. Wow, wasn’t expecting a drop-off like that. I think I’ll stick with the warm North Carolina beaches instead.

A few years ago we took a trip to Mexico. Our priest gave us the name and number of a couple that he knows that own a condominium and a deep sea fishing boat in the area we were staying in. He told us that he would call them in advance and let them know that we would contact them when we arrived.

When I hurt my back, however, I knew that I wouldn’t be able to take these kinds of camping trips anymore. At first I was depressed, but I decided not to let it get me down. Instead, I bought a camping trailer. I had always sort of looked down on camping trailers. It seemed like a stupid way to go off into the woods. I had seen lots of those pop up trailers in the camping sites that I drove past on the highway. People would include everything in them. They would take along their televisions, their liquor cabinets, and all sorts of electronic appliances. Basically, there seemed to be no point to it. Why go off into the woods and bring the city along with you?

I have a need to get out of the house several times a year. I usually don’t have the money to go anyplace exotic, but I am a big fan of weekend getaways. There’s something wonderful about going away for 3 or 4 nights over a weekend and just relaxing. Luckily, where I live, I am only a few hours away from some great beaches and desolate mountains. Not everyone is able to say that. However, there are always places that you can find for weekend getaways even in your own town. You just have to do some research and know where to look.

One of the best things about wanting to go to Orlando is that you can usually find great deals on tickets. There are many times during the year when you will find specials on airline tickets to Orlando, and these are deals are not usually during just one season. The weather in Florida is warm most of the year, and that means a vacation there is possible whenever you feel like going. You don’t have to wait for the weather to be warmer to plan your vacation.

I first found out about cheap package holidays from a friend who had bought an all inclusive package from her local travel agent. She was flying to Kauai, an exotic destination that I would have expected to be out of her range. She told me that the cheap package holiday was the only reason that she could go. Apparently, they had organized everything for her. Rather than waiting for last minute travel deals like she usually did, she was able to schedule her vacation at a convenient time months in advance. She had air travel booked at a discount rate, discount hotel rooms, and even a very reasonably priced tour of the islands arranged for the first day of her arrival. It all sounded too good to be true, but I thought we would check it out.

There many come a time in any life when a place to sleep will suddenly seem like a luxury. If you have ever gone camping, you probably know what I mean. Even if you never leave the comfort of your own home when it comes time to sleep, there may be times when you might want to have a self inflating air mattress. These can be used in a pinch, and if you have more company than you have beds, this might be something your guests will really appreciate.

An article about the pros and cons of camping outdoors
I remember the first time that I got to help my dad to pick out a family camping tent when I was a kid. It was the first time I got to go to the camping equipment store with my father. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. You see, at the time I was immersed in a typical fantasy that little boys have. I loved thinking about the old West, cowboys and Indians, and the adventures that one could have in the great outdoors. A family camping tent was just the thing that we needed to start to live these adventures. Although I would have rather gone on vacation by myself, the family camping tent still provided a great possibility for travel and adventure.
