Bear hunting is becoming a controversial sport and this article is what I consider to be a kind of biased view of bear hunting. OTOH going to the local bakery and getting some of yesterdays donuts and pastries to bait bears with isn’t exactly a good image either. Personally I’d like to see that kind of bear baiting banned.

IMO if you’re going to hunt bears for the thrill of it then get all the thrills you can. Don’t sit 50-100 yards away and shoot some bear eating yesterdays donuts. Be a man, go into the bears domain and hunt for him there. Yeah, I know why a lot of people don’t do that but choose to shoot donut bears instead. Fear, plain and simple. They want to brag they killed a bear but they don’t want to be in danger doing it. Sheesh, man up, go hunt Mr. Bear where he lives and take your chances. Some days you eat the bear but one day the bear will eat you. That’s enough to make donut bear shooters out of most guys.

In one way or another, we have all had contact with the work or read about the life of the famous American writer Ernest Hemingway. We certainly don’t associate Hemingway with Africa hunting expeditions or wilderness.

Those who know a bit about the man have read of swashbuckling tales of drinking, bull fighting and hard living. We knew him as an avid sportsman who even penned one of his great books, The Sun Also Rises, around the annual running of the bulls in Spain.

In my opinion canned hunting isn’t ethical at all. Canned hunting is effectively trophy hunting a trapped animal. A canned hunt is a type of hunt that involves the hunter being promised a kill by a hunting agency or governing body.

The hunt usually takes place on the land that the host of the hunt, whether a hunting agency or private party, captures an animal and releases it in a generally enclosed area to be killed by the hunter. The enclosed area tends to be a small secure area so that the kill comes rather easily to the hunter.

This is one of the reasons I never went on a buffalo hunt out in Western South Dakota. It just doesn’t seem right, or sporting, to me to kill an animal that has no chance of escape. A hunt that relies on no skills at all isn’t a hunt, it’s just a kill and under those conditions a 5 year old could do it. Canned hunting is not a good thing.

Lures too large for the smaller compartments are placed in the bottom compartment. Leave your big lures in their boxes or the bottom of your tackle box will be a tangled up mess.

You don’t have to know about every type of freshwater fishing lures. There are just to many to deal with at once, particularly if you are a newbie to fishing or just beginning.

Just bass lures alone come in may different types. Poppers, chuggers, spinner baits, twister tails, plain jigs, skirts and more. That’s just bass lures, not walleye lures, lake trout lures, muskie lures, brown trout lures, brook trout lures, tube lures or other freshwater lures that are available for you.

Had enough yet as that doesn’t include minnow shaped lures or diving plugs, let alone the choices of wooden, steel, plastic or rubber and natural, like feathers or hide. Now you know why this is called beginning bass fishing lures.

Reading the lines above you might be thinking that often singing is rather “the act of producing awful sounds” and that the person exalting this noise would never be able to sing a clear tone. However, I assure you that with the correct practice, over time, anyone and everyone can learn how to sing.

First things first, you have to want to sing and you should probably like to sing. If you don’t like to sing because you sound terrible, that is ok as long as you are willing to learn. Second, remember that while I recommend that you use every chance you have to sing, like in the shower, in the car, while you clean the house, this should not substitute your daily practice.

Learning a new skill like singing requires practice, like all other skills you want to learn. No one is born with a voice like Pavarotti, so if you want to sound like him you need to practice like him.

You probably have heard of one of the world’s fastest growing sports known as paint balling or more commonly referred to as “paintball”. This sport is a combination of many skills, and as such there is much more to it than simply running around the bush or field dressed up as “Rambo”.

Unfortunately there is a great deal of misinformation out there, generally put forth by people who have little, if any, real experience playing this exciting game.
