People Search

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

We all have people in our lives with whom we’ve lost touch, and others we would like to track down for other reasons. Whether you are in search of an old flame, a new employee or a deadbeat debtor, the internet can be your friend. The electronic age has provided us with a wealth of tools that make searching for people easier and faster than ever. Searches that once required weeks or even months of research and hundreds of dollars in fees can now be completed in a matter of minutes and at a cost so low it is nearly free.

Of course it is important to know how to get started, and just as important to know where to look. The vast amount of information stored on the linked computer networks that make up the World Wide Web can be overwhelming, and it is important to target your searches appropriately for the best results.

It is also important to know when the low tech approach may be the best way to start. For instance, we often overlook the value of those paper phone directories that fill our homes. While it is true that cell phones are now ubiquitous, just about everyone has a landline, and searching the phone directory for the city where the individual is last known to have lived can reveal a great deal. Even if the individual cannot be located, a search of the telephone directory can provide the names and numbers of relatives, neighbors and others who may have relevant information.

Public records can also provide a great deal of information on the individual being sought. One of the most effective places to start is at the state’s department of motor vehicles. Many states allow individuals to search these records, and such a search can reveal everything from driving records to current addresses to vehicle registration information.

Employment records can also be quite valuable when conducting a people search. If you know the name of the person’s current employer you may be able to call his or her supervisor to solicit additional information. Former employers can also provide relevant information, including addresses, phone numbers and even favorite hangouts. Of course not every employer will be so forthcoming, but it never hurts to ask. Approaching the subject professionally and explaining the nature of the inquiry from the start can be quite effective.

Neighbors can be a rich source of information when searching for an individual as well. Skip tracers and bill collectors have long used this tactic, and it can be quite an effective technique for tracking down those hard to find individuals. As with employer searches, the effectiveness of talking to neighbors will vary, but the neighbors often know a great deal and they may be willing to share what they have learned.

The online world can also provide valuable clues regarding the whereabouts of individuals. The effectiveness of any online search can be greatly enhanced with additional information, including the information gathered by conducting employer, telephone and neighbor inquiries. While simply inputting a common name may not reveal much, adding other relevant information such as city of residence, employer name and the names of relatives can provide extremely focused results.

The bottom line is that there is no one right way to conduct a people search on or offline. Effective searches require a combination of techniques, but the results can be quite satisfying and productive.

The Secrets To Improve Search Engine Ranking

Monday, April 7th, 2008

To improve search engine ranking, you should try to get as many links as possible. The inbound links are what will get your site in front of visitors and the content on your page is what will keep them coming back. If you want a top spot in most search engine results, you need more links than your competing pages. This will get you a good amount of traffic - what you do with it once it gets to your page, is up to you.

It’s important when you have your keyword phrase ready, two things should be considered; off page and on page factors. What is on your web page is an on page factor. This includes the content, title, meta tags and alt tags. The content on your website needs to attract visitors. As you improve your rankings and draw more people to your site your chances of making a sale will greatly increase if the content is good and useful.

If you are going to improve search engine ranking, it is important to include you keyword phrase about 3 times within your article (at the beginning, in the middle and in the last paragraph) as well as in your title and keyword and description meta tags. It’s not necessary to overdo it, having the phrase around three times in you article will be fine. Also, make sure your keyword phrase is included in the file name.

Off page factors are much more important than on page factors when it comes to improving ranking. This refers to how your page is pointed to by other sites. It is essential that the keyword phrase you are highlighting is used in the anchor text of the majority of links to that page. In bound links should be natural so it is best to use variations in the anchor text. Links that are highly relevant and come from quality sites are best, but you should not overlook links to more general content.

How You Can Improve Search Engine Ranking

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008

Getting your webpages place highly in the search engines is critical. It is widely know that the most important factors needed to improve search engine ranking are, optimization of your pages, quality back links and original content. No matter what your niche or keywords, you need to pay attention to these.

But what elements do you need to pay the most attention to?

You should make a list of keywords to consider first, before getting started. Is there a group of words that you’d like to denote as keywords for this web page? To find the most targeted phrase with little competition, you must carefully research your keywords. The time you spend picking keywords that will rank your pages is time very well spent.

It’s important when you have your keyword phrase ready, two things should be considered; off page and on page factors. What you actually put on the page is an “on page factor.” This includes, meta tags, alt tags, titles and the content itself. When your rankings get better and more people visit your site, better content improves the chances that they will buy something or perform the appropriate action.

Using Inmate Searches
There is a big boom in people finding sites and resources online. This leads many people to search for others that they may not have thought of in a long time. They may not have even thought to search until they saw the resources that allow them to do so. There are some people that are rather easy to find and contact, but there are just as many more that seems to have vanished into thin air. When your relentless searching seems to come up with nothing, you may have to think about using inmate searches to find your missing person.
No one wants to find an old friend or even a relative through inmate searches, but it is something that happens. Even good people find themselves on the wrong side of the law at times. It doesn’t mean they are bad, it just means they made a bad choice at one point or another. If someone you are searching for is currently or recently incarcerated, you can find them through inmate searches in most states. Not all states allow you to search for this information, but many of them do, and some of them are free.
What you want to think about when doing an inmate search is where you think the person last lived. Most of these searches for inmates are run by the state, and that means you aren’t going to find them very easily if you have no idea where they live. You should start with the state you last knew them to reside in, and then search in surrounding states as well. This doesn’t always work, but in many cases people don’t roam too far from home.
Remember that inmate searches are generally only good for those that are currently in prison or in jail. Some many have listings for those that have been recently released, but after that, you may not find someone through these even when they have been incarcerated for a while. You may find that nothing comes up, and that is actually good news for the person you are searching for. This is just one resource in the list of many you can use to find someone, so don’t give up just because you don’t find them right away. Most people end up being found after a while. It might take a while, and even an investment of money, but they are out there somewhere.

As the power of the Internet continues to grow, the resources available to us get stronger and more versatile and our reasons for using these tools become more diverse. We collect information on uncountable places and subjects, but one of the most common reasons for internet searches is finding people. Whether it?s people you know or other?s you are tracking, the Internet can be your best companion to find people.
There are many reasons why you might want to find a person, ranging from the frivolous to the serious. For example, you might just want to catch up with an old high school friend that you lost touch with many years ago in order to say hello and laugh about old times. Maybe you need to track down that old college roommate who suddenly took off and left you to pay the entire rent all by yourself. Or, perhaps you are adopted and have a desire to find your birth parents. Whatever your personal reasons for the search might be, it is often very easy and more cost effective to locate people through the Internet rather than through a private detective or other means.
The first thing you should do when trying to find a person online is to avail yourself of the free resources that are widely available. These include such things as email searches, general people searches, and address searches. These free resources are not very precise and tend to generate a lot of results. This obviously won’t help you much if your subject has a common name; but if he or she has a bit of an unusual name, then the results might be useful. Another point to keep in mind about free people searches is that they are probably not going to give you any more information than a regular phone book would. So if your subject has an unlisted number, then he or she most likely won’t appear in any online directories either.
If the free resources lead to nothing but dead ends, then you can try using a professional search service. Professional services can help you find a person by quickly scanning through a myriad of public records databases in order to turn up any information about the subject in question. All you have to be able to do is provide a first name, middle initial, last name, and approximate date of birth — the search team will take care of the rest. Most professional services have several different search packages to choose from, each with a varying rate. For a small fee, they’ll be able to uncover even an unlisted phone number or current address for your subject. For more money, you can request that a full background check be performed, including criminal records, court judgments, bankruptcies, liens, etc. Just bear in mind that professional services require you to pay their fees whether they actually find a person that matches the description you gave them or not. In other words, the results aren’t guaranteed.
So the next time you need to find a person from your past to tell them about a reunion, collect a debt, or just drop them a note to say hello, try using the Internet. You’ll be surprised at how much information is readily available about people online!

Again, while you can use these smaller web search engines to market yourself, your blogs or your personal business, they won’t bring you near the quantity of traffic as Google, MSN or Yahoo. Conducting a People Search on the Internet

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

Anyone who has ever used the internet for research purposes knows just how much information is available online. There is a wealth of information available online, on any number of different subjects, and few subjects are so obscure that they cannot be found online.
One of the best ways to use the internet for research is to use one of the many people search services that can be found there. There are lots of different people search programs on the internet, catering to a variety of different needs.
Some of these people search sites simply take the form of online telephone directories, although with a couple of major advantages over the traditional print variety. One of the biggest advantages of these online people search sites is that they require o storage. In addition, many of these sites allow users to easily search the entire country for a given first name last name combination, or even by last name alone. This kind of people search is obviously much more powerful and much faster than searching through hundreds of paper phone books.
Another major advantage of these online people search directories is that many of them will suggest several different spellings for common names, providing an additional level of flexibility that cannot be duplicated with offline sources.
While some of the most popular people search sites only allow users to search for people, a number of these sites also allow users to search for businesses as well. These search sites can provide additional flexibility and better results than traditional telephone directories in many cases.
In addition to the many free people search sites on the internet, there are a number of excellent companies who offer paid access to even more extensive databases of names, telephone numbers, email addresses, cell phone numbers and other important information. The data on these sites is compiled from a number of different sources, and these sites often have millions of different entries just waiting to be tapped.
When seeking information on a particular person or business, it will of course be helpful to have as much information as possible before starting the search. In addition to the person’s first name and last name, it will be helpful to have the exact spelling of the name, the state or city of residence and any suffix or prefix the person may use. This additional identifying information can be of particular importance if the name being searched is a very common one. After all, it will naturally be more difficult to weed through the results of a search for John Smith than a search for Alastair Zamboni.
Even with the limitations presented by the various paid and free people search sites, these sites represent a huge improvement over the old way of finding addresses and telephone numbers. Searches that would have once taken hours and been prohibitively labor intensive can now be accomplished in a matter of minutes, all thanks to the power of the internet.

Internet searches can be used for many different things. Computers are definitely better than when I was a kid. If I remember correctly, they basically consisted of a black screen with green text and let’s not get started on floppy disks. I am just happy that era is behind us. It was kind of like dial-up, but without the screechy noise or the great AOL welcome you’ve got mail sound. Anyway, welcome to the new Internet age. One where a new dimension exists called cyberspace. In this dimension all seems possible. You can find what you’re looking for or learn whatever you please. Search for people including friends and family, play games with people across the globe, and even dissect information that was once considered private. It’s a cinch to perform a people search and locate whomever you please. So, who are you looking for?

To some this may seem like an invasion of their privacy. Is it safe that anyone can jump on the web and search people by name in order to discover personal information like a phone number or address? Furthermore is it really called for? Well, this all depends on who you speak with. Whether you like it or not, there are search engines online built specifically for those wanting to perform a find a person search. With your first and last name they can find out quite a bit. Now, you may be fortunate if you have a very common last name such as Smith or Johnson. These last names will typically produce oodles of results. Unless the first name is really unique, the person searching might have some trouble. I used an online database to find a friend from college. He did not respond to the email address I had, so I figured I could simple try a find a person search on the Internet. However, this attempt failed. There were just too many Brian Smiths for me to weed through. As it turned out a number of them even went to my old University. I gave up at that point.

The standard find a people lookup directory works fairly well. It may not be up to government speed, but it will get the job done if you know enough about the person. If you know the middle initial or name, use it. Finally, don’t be surprised if the find a person search engine charges a fee. Like most services, they generally will.

Many individuals may also need to use the power of the internet to locate a doctor or specialist, and once again search engine queries can be a very effective first step. If you know the name of the doctor you are seeking you can type his or her name into your favorite search engine, along with the city and state where he or she practices, and his or her specialty. Current and potential patients are increasingly using this approach to get a feel for the skill and the track record of their doctor before beginning treatment.
State medical boards can also be valuable resources in such queries, as well as a good way to determine if your doctor, or a doctor you are considering, has ever been disciplined or had other professional action taken against them. It is important to know, however, that not all state medical boards provide such information. It should be possible, however, to at least make sure that the doctor is properly licensed and accredited.
The people search sites and search engine tips listed above can also be important when conducting a background check, although a full background check may require access to more extensive databases than the free sites can provide. Even so, these free services can provide a great starting point and are a great way to gather lots of information that will be valuable as you dig further into the paid search sites.

How much is to much? SEO Elite and IBP, the pricing comparison.

Monday, February 25th, 2008

Don’t take this part of your online business lightly. While it is safe to say that on the internet you can find some free tools to use in your seo campaign. I can’t really justify relying on free tools in the long run. You will need seo software such as SEO Elite or IBP if you plan on having any sort of control and sustainability in your business. These tools will become an essential part of your online business as a web site publisher and marketer. Whether it be right now or a little later on. I have come to understand that. There are a few price considerations to consider between the two top SEO softwares. Again, although IBP is a little more expensive, it is still a superior product.
