Street Racing Videos

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

It is hard for me to admit this, but since the movie “The fast and The Furious,” I have been addicted to street racing videos. I have seen them all – commercial drag racing videos, illegal street car racing videos – you name it, I have a copy of it. It is really a guilty pleasure of mine. Not only do I consider a street car racing video to be kind of tacky, but often very bad things happen in them. It seems like an awful thing to be entertained by an event for someone gets hurt, yet in many of the street racing videos this is exactly what happens.

You see, the laws are written so that it is easy to sell an underground street racing video. There is some legal liability, but unless the person who films the street racing clip was directly involved in organizing the racing, they are probably off the hook. There are even motorcycle racing videos, featuring import motorcycles zooming between traffic at extremely high speeds. Not only is this dangerous for the motorcycle drivers, but it is dangerous for the other cars as well. I have even seen street racing videos that show innocent bystanders swerving out of the way to avoid the racers!

These can be very useful in the identification of someone who may enter your home without your permission.

Computer Basics By Video - The Right Way To Go

Monday, February 18th, 2008

When people learn, it’s like they’re walking up a hill:

With each step, you get further up the hill, and you can see a little farther. But you can’t always find the path alone, so you need a hand to guide you further along, farther up the hill, so you can really start to see all the possibilities stretching out around you, and finally understand how it all fits together.

Sometimes I felt like I was way up the hill, and I’d figured out how to run back down the hill and start to lead someone up along the path to really mastering their computer, but I was never able to take them more than a few steps before I had to stop.

Then when I saw them again, the person I was trying to help had either stayed exactly where I’d left them, or had even accidentally walked back down the hill a little ways.

What was happening was a client would call me and book me for a computer lesson. Now, consultants are expensive, so people naturally try to get as much out of the lesson as they can by trying to cover as much as possible in just an hour or two.

But as you probably know from experience, that doesn’t really work that well — if you try to learn too much at once, it just goes in one ear and out the other, and a lot of it just doesn’t sink in.

Short lessons are the key, and learning computer basics by video lesson lets you learn in quick, easy lessons that take the hassle and pain out of computer learning. And a good way to find out if the teacher can explain things well before you buy is to see if they have basic computer lessons written up as articles. If the article is easy to read, chances are the lessons will be easy to follow.

Training Rooms:Made Better byLatest Technology

Monday, January 28th, 2008

In most companies, the conference room is a technology-free island. Most conference rooms consist of a table, a few chairs, overhead lights, and possibly a whiteboard. But meeting rooms are changing as IP TV technology evolves… and no area of business will be left behind.

Another standard in IP TV for boardrooms is a digital projector. For those that frequently use PowerPoint presentations as a meeting tool, a projector is an utter necessity. A digital projector will display any computer application on a white board or screen (or even a light-colored wall), helping you to share information, presentations, even digital films or satellite tv. While in the past, digital projectors used to be prohibitively expensive, especially for smaller companies, their price of IP TV is falling as technology advances, making them an easily obtainable addition to the meeting audio visual system of any corporation.

A new variation on the electronic white board is the PDP, or Plasma Display Panel. A plasma display panel is in essence a huge, but much slimmer, flat-screen television or computer monitor. PDPs are usually 42″ to 50″, and have a very clear, bright screen, making them great for video conferencing. Since PDPs are a comparatively new addition to the IP TV market, they’re also very costly, ranging from about $8,000 to $20,000. For around $4,000 more, companies can invest in an interactive overlay for the PDP. This is a comparatively small investment when compared to the price of the PDP and when bearing in mind the many practical uses of a PDP with an interactive overlay. An interactive overlay will put in touch sensibility and annotation abilities, permitting you to use your PDP just like an interactive whiteboard.

Headsets Microphones

Monday, June 25th, 2007

Headsets Microphones are headphones with a microphone attached, making a device that you can wear on your head to easily hear and record sound. Their popularity has risen sharply with the recent growth of voice chat on the Internet, both on Internet phone services such as Skype and in online games such as Xbox Live.

As a rule, you should try to avoid buying headsets microphones from the big High Street electronics retailers, as they will generally sell very cheap headsets for much more than they’re worth. Smaller computer shops are a better bet, as are independent music stores and games shops
