Planning Your Bridal Shower Brunch

Wedding preparations are usually activity packed events, and sometimes the bride may end up having no time to interact with close family members leading up to the big day. That is why it comes highly recommended that the bride has a bridal shower brunch with close family and friends before retreating to bustle of the final wedding day preparations.

First thing in hosting a bridal shower brunch is selecting a serene ambience for the brunch. This could be a banquet hall or a private section of a restaurant. Traditionally though, a bridal shower brunch is normally held at the bride’s home. But any calm surrounding will normally do the trick. Decorations for the brunch should be stylish and preferably match to the color theme of the wedding, while reflecting the class and maturity of the bride.

Choosing Wedding Cards

Friday, February 12th, 2010

Until I did it myself, I did not think it would be that hard to choose wedding cards. It did not seem that picking out wedding invitations would be any more difficult to choose than anniversary cards, birthday invitations or any other special occasion cards. Most of the time the main things about a wedding are fairly routine. Pick the location, hire a good band for the music, dress in similar fashion and normally similar types of food. Yes, there are those who will go to the extreme and hire a wedding planner to schedule all of the events for the wedding. It seems that most of the weddings will go with the standard traditions. Being that’s the case, then it should be quite simple to choose a wedding card.

Well, in most cases the reality is that wedding cards can often times be a challenge to choose. I had not thought much about it before, but you have a lot to decide on. You have to choose from several font sizes, different wordings, different styles of paper and colors. Do you want the wedding cards to be modern looking, formal looking or just an easy going look? Also, you can have them look extravagant or just plain and simple looking. On the other hand, you also have to think about the wedding thank you cards. so, as you can see there is much more to it than just quickly picking out a card.

Destination Weddings – Can You Really Afford One?

Monday, February 8th, 2010

First of all, the cost will more than likely be the determining factor when planning destination weddings. Chances are you will need to pay quite a lot of money for your accommodations, but if you see this as the wedding of your dreams, then you should go ahead and have the special ceremony if you can afford the event. Also, you should consider how much money your family and friends will have to dish out for this special trip. The plane tickets and hotel accommodations will normally be very expensive, and you may end up discovering that not everyone will be able to make the trip. You could be faced with having to decide if the destination wedding is worth it if some of your family and friends are not able to attend because the cost of the trip is just too expensive.

Also, remember that destination weddings are normally quite expensive, even for those of us who can afford to have this special occasion. You and your future spouse may not get the gifts you expect because everyone will have to spend lots of money for the airfare and hotel to attend your wedding. Just be prepared for an exciting and wonderful wedding event, but also be prepared for a smaller turn out since not everyone will be able to attend. You and your future spouse will need to decide if all of that is worth it before you proceed. The couples who have a smaller family and a smaller circle of friends will usually choose this type of wedding. Just remember to give destination weddings a lot of thought before the both of you decide to go forward and have the special occasion.

Inexpensive wedding dresses for the bride on a budget

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

The day your partner proposes, and you say yes, is a special day in every woman’s life. It is the day that their relationship is taken to the next level. It is also the day you should start thinking about your wedding dress. Ok, not necessarily to be taken literally, but the sooner you get going, the less stressful the process will be.

Many wedding experts say that you should start looking for your wedding dress 6-12 months before your wedding. But what if your budget is tight, like many other people are experiencing in these financial troubling times?

There are many options for soon to be brides on a budget. One of the most important tips is to never buy a wedding dress at retail prices. Inexpensive wedding dresses are not difficult to find, and especially if you look online you will be amazed at the discounts available. Designer dresses at 30-50% off aren’t unusual at all.

If you really are on a shoe-string budget, you might want to consider buying a consignment wedding dress. These are wedding dresses put up for sale by consignment shops on behalf of the dress owner, and the shops often require the dresses to be flawless to even consider showcasing it.

You might also want to check with your friends and relatives. Perhaps they have a classic wedding dress stored for the next generation, and would be thrilled for you to wear it. Nothing better than getting your wedding dress for free, and no one at your wedding will ever notice the difference.

Showing Your Love Through Wedding Scrapbooking

Friday, January 15th, 2010

If one of your close friends or loved ones are getting married, wedding scrapbooking for them might just as well be your best way of giving them your blessing and love. Making scrapbooks is one of the most ideal and sweetest ways of remembering a special time in one’s life. And what could be as memorable as a wedding?

Wedding scrapbooking is a great gift that you can show the people you love that you love them because you will be making it yourself. Putting effort in a gift will add value to it. All your efforts will also be rewarded knowing that your gift is something that your loved ones will surely be treasuring for the rest of their lives.

When you freeze important and special moments in your life, you capture a moment that you will be able to remember forever. Scrapbooks are one of those special things that will help you treasure memories that you will have fun looking back when you grow old. Weddings are one of the most special events that anyone could have, and what better way to capture the many memories in these events than in scrapbooks?

Scrapbooks can be very personal and intimate. If you have a knack at designing and are pretty good in the arts and crafts, wedding scrapbooking is perfect for you. Make sure that when designing the scrapbook, you make every page distinctive and personal. It may take quite some time to make everything right, but the reactions that you will be getting from your loved ones will all be worth it.

There are many things that you should take note of while making the perfect wedding scrapbook. One is that every page should have different perspectives of the wedding. Official wedding photographers take lovely pictures which you can use, but these photos are often at only one perspective. Make sure that you also bring a camera so you will be featuring photos of different perspectives in your scrapbook.

Another way of getting different perspectives is to ask your friends who are also attending the wedding to take photographs during the event. Not only will you be provided with enough perspective for your scrapbook, you will also have many photos to choose from.

Another thing that will be great to include while in your wedding scrapbook are quotes from close friends and family. You can make the gift more special by keeping a log of memories and different pieces of advice that the bride and groom’s friends and family have to offer. Including them in the scrapbook will make it more memorable and personal. You can either collect these quotes personally or you can ask someone to collect messages for you.

Different memorabilia from the event are also great elements to add in wedding scrapbooking. By including keepsakes and other things taken from the day itself, you will bring back joyful memories that may have otherwise been overlooked and eventually forgotten. Memorabilia from the wedding include flower petals, arrangements, invitations, place cards, napkins and many others.

Pace yourself unless you simple do not have the time.

You can find many great planners for wedding preparation that can help you decide what you should do and how soon you need to do it. If you go through this and choose the dates for many of your important tasks and decisions, you are going to be far less stressed. Remember to ask your attendants to help you out, just remember to be nice about it no matter how stressed with wedding preparation you are feeling. You get better results with kindness, even if you feel panicked.

You can also try to find some useful tips on the internet. Wedding forums are great places to start, as you will be able to get advice from people that have been through the whole wedding ordeal.

Keep the passion between you alive!

Find some time to spend with yourself and with your intended during wedding preparation to keep the stress levels down and your relationship strong. Take time for physical activity and to have dates with your intended. If you forget why you are getting married, your wedding preparation is not going to be much fun. So the first thing to consider when setting your budget for wedding reception supplies is how many guests you plan on inviting. This is very important as the price of each individual favor will be multiplied by the number of friends you plan to have at your wedding. This is not to be confused with the number of guests you know will come. If you have a rather large family with many far away relatives you should feel obligated to invite all of these relatives even if you are certain they can not attend. If you are really sure these guests will not be able to attend your wedding you can then estimate of the guest count you are expecting to show at the wedding, thus estimating the wedding reception supplies needed.

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

No matter how you choose to write your Wedding Love Poems, begin by interviewing yourself. Strange as it might sound, this technique can serve to focus you, in an in-depth way, on just why you love your beloved so much. The interview process brings to light, and pen, many aspects you may never have realized. Try this experiment. Ask a married friend, ìWhy do you love your spouse? Why did you marry him or her?î Many a married person, caught unaware, may not be able to tell you, in so many words.
