A One Hit Wonder James Bond Actor
George Lazenby only made the one Bond movie, despite the fact that it was a huge career breakthrough for him, having come from a background in modeling and TV commercials. His one stint as an Actor Playing James Bond was in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
The next incumbent for the part was English actor, Roger Moore. Moore was well known to British television audiences as The Saint. He brought a more light hearted interpretation as a James Bond actor and the action was punctuated by his one-liners. Live and Let Die was his first Bond, followed by The Man with the Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, and A View To a Kill. The hunt for another actor was on again.
