How to redirect your URLs to a www prefix

There still exists good reasons why you would want to keep the www prefix or force it on your domain, so that all visitors get rerouted to the www version, including bots.

Firstly, the legacy of the www prefix is such that most people associate a website with www AND therefore type that in whenever they want to access a website. It is a legacy of the earlier web developers, and it makes sense to redirect your domain to a www prefix.

Some webmasters may also unconsciously link to you using the www prefix. But, the biggest reason is that the search engines view www as a subdomain of its own and will consider a www and non www version of a domain as 2 different websites.
