A MSDS database administrator is an individual responsible for the database environmental aspect. Generally, these aspects include factors like, recoverability (creation and testing of backups), security (implementation of access control to the available data), integrity (verification of the integrity of data), performance (to ensure good performance), availability (to ensure maximum uptime) and testing and developing support.
