The Link Between Constipation and Probiotics

What is the link between constipation and probiotics? Well, the link between constipation and probiotics is this: studies have shown and proven that probiotics are very effective in alleviating and preventing constipation.

Constipation is a condition in which an individual has a hard time eliminating wastes in the body. The most common cause of constipation is of course a poor diet that is low in fiber: e.g. fruits, vegetables and whole grains and low in daily fluid intake.

Most constipated people’s diet include high intake of processed foods, fast food, meats and sweets. Fiber is important since it has been found to have a laxative effect on stools.

Now recent studies have concluded that a daily intake of probiotics can help people with constipation. Now, more and more people are fighting back against constipation and probiotics treatment is their ally.
