Healthy Eating Habits for Weight Loss

Healthy eating habits help you to lose weight and maintain your strength too. Here are few tips:

  • Eat a good breakfast. Even if you are in hurry, grab a bagel, piece of fruit, and some juice.
  • Choose your fast foods wisely. Take your pick from the ones with more vegetables, less cheese, potatoes, and meat. Fried ones are absolute no-no.
  • Healthy snacks in your bag satisfy hunger strikes. Keep fresh or dried fruit, pretzels, unbuttered popcorn, rice cakes or whole wheat crackers. Consider raw vegetables with low fat yogurt or cottage cheese dip.
  • Eat food rich in calcium. You can try low fat yoghurt if you don’t like milk.
  • Don’t starve. Eat good but eat healthy. Starving will not help you in weight loss
  • Cut down on sugar and use diet sweeteners instead.
  • Thrive on Salad Bar without cream or mayonnaise. Develop a taste for eat. Don’t let the meat lure you.
  • Drinking alcohol is not wise either. It is only calories and has no nutritional value.
  • Eight glasses of water a day helps you to lose weight.
  • Remember that food is nourishment. Eat it to savor it.
