Review: DreamMask, a lucid dreaming device
I have been interested in lucid dreaming for a long, long time — 30 years or so. I have had several lucid dreams, but I’ve never gotten to the point where I could have a lucid dream whenever I wanted to.
If you’ve ever had a lucid dream, you know how thrilling it is. In a lucid dream, you notice that you’re dreaming; and when you know you’re dreaming, you can control your dreams! There are so many things you can do when you control your dreams: You can fly! You can confront your fears. You can visit foreign lands, travel to other planets and galaxies, talk with a spirit guide, have a love affair with your favorite actor, and do things you would never do in “real” life just for fun!
I have bought quite a number of products over the years to facilitate my attempts at becoming an “oneironaut,” or lucid dreamer. But the DreamMask by Dream Maker is a whole different kind of lucid dreaming device. It detects when you’re in REM sleep, and wakes you just enough to let you know you’re dreaming.
I’ve got LOTS of great information at my Brainwave Journeys site: Lucid Dreaming.
