Landscaping designers and Landscape Architects are both landscapers and their jobs are closely related, if not really the same. Landscape Architect, however, is actually an official title. In fact, universities have both undergraduate and post graduate degrees available in this field.
At the federal level, there is a test Landscape Architects must pass. In addition, several states have a specific state board examination that they must pass in order to be issued a license. This reserves the title Landscape Architect to those who have completed the required training and testing.
