Getting your kids to eat easy healthy snacks sounds a lot harder than it actually is. The key is to make it fun for them, and they won’t even realize that it’s a healthy snack. When it comes to kids, creativity is one fast way to get fun and easy healthy snacks into your kids tummy. However it’s done, it’s important to get them started early in the habit of eating healthy snacks in place of unhealthy sugary treats that have no nutritional value.
If creativity is not your strong point, there are plenty of ideas you can easily find on the internet. For one, you can make the tried and true ‘ants on a log.’ This is a celery stick with peanut butter smeared inside. On the top of that peanut butter you can sprinkle some raisins. The celery is the log and the raisins are the ants. It’s hard to find any kids that don’t love this, especially boys who think eating ants is gross and fun all at the same time, with the added bonus of annoying any young girls that may be near by. You can use purple raisins for black ants and yellow raisins to represent some other bugs. Before you know it, your kids will be bugging you for more easy healthy snacks.
