There are several garden pond types that the home owner might enjoy to have in the home. Some man made ponds are elevated with a barrier that prevents the water from spilling out while others are dug into the earth and correspond with the lay of the land. A garden pond is usually made as natural as possible which means that the entire pond may be dug into the earth.
