Back when mobility scooters were first manufactured, they were made with 4 wheels. This was great considering the fact that these disabled people had better mobility to move from place to place, but there was some things that made them a bit unhandy. They needed lots of room to be able to turn. Yes, they did prove to be very helpful and fairly efficient for the times, but technology developed to the point where mobility scooters were going to three wheels. The diference was amzing. The swiveling action make all the difference in mobility for the disabled.
