Types Of Parakeet Sounds

Anyone who has owned a parakeet is very familiar with their range of cheerful noises and other types of parakeet sounds. Parakeets constantly squawk, chirp, cheep, and make other noises. But, what if you need to take these individual sounds and combine them into words?

It might be hard to believe that parakeets can talk and they can actually say a large number of words. If you spend enough time with them, they can learn to talk more. A parakeet’s high “voice” can make it difficult to tell the difference between it’s everyday noises and word mimicking.

In order for a parakeet to talk the owner must repeat a word or phrase until the bird can say it. If you are seeking a talking bird, you should remember that not all birds will talk, and parakeets are not known for this ability, so you may want to buy a different breed. Even if you can never teach your parakeet to speak words, the noises it does make are still enjoyable.
